+ Turkish towels (also called Peshtemals) are invented in the 17th century Bursa, Turkey which makes them the ancestors of today's towels.
+ They are made on looms by using Turkish cotton.
What is so special about Turkish cotton?
+ Turkish cotton is a high quality long-fiber cotton grown in Turkey.
+ Long-fiber cotton means fewer joins, which yield smoother, more durable and breathable cotton threads.
+ Long-fiber cotton dries far more quickly, does not harbour moisture and cause unwanted smell.
+ Towels made of Turkish cotton become softer and more absorbent with each wash.
